My name is Laura Troost. My partner and I would like to publish a magazine.
I got your details from the annual exhibition booklet of CAS, since I am a member.
This is my first magazine and any helpful tips would be appreciated and I have a list of questions and info for a quote.
1/ We are wanting a A4 bind magazine of 44 pages including the cover and back page.
*The magazine will consist of 83 images with text for each image.
*8 full page images / 30 half page images / 45 third page images. (Images to suit these sizes.)
*The images need to be of high quality, for the images will be artists paintings.
*Cover and back page to be of higher gsm than internal pages.
2/ We would like to publish ourselves and would like to know if I have to use a program that is compatible for printing?
3/ What would be the process in terms of high quality images, and can they be sent to you as jpeg, or do you need the photographs for printing?
4/ I would like quotes for qty’s of 300 magazines?
400 magazines?
500 magazines?
5/ What would be the time span for printing?
6/ Do you offer a shrink wrap of magazine service for distribution purposes?
7/ We are looking at publishing our magazine four times per year.
We would appreciate if you could tell us if we have left out any crucial information that you need.
